Teresa's Journey
Teresa's Journey

Teresa chose a custom floor-length version of our Oriana dress — light, effortless, and made to move with her.

Her wedding took place in her grandparents’ former backyard — a place filled with childhood memories. Thoughtfully restored, it became the perfect setting for a day that felt both deeply personal and full of new beginnings.

Teresa, where did your wedding take place?

We got married at my grandparents former backyard. We bought the house the same year, renovated it and moved in only a month before the wedding. Safe to say we had lots to do with all the wedding preparations, finishing the garden whilst moving in. But it was so worth it. I spent a lot of time in my childhood at this house and we always spent much time in the garden. Celebrating our wedding at this place was so special. It was an ode to my past and a promise to our future together.

What inspired your wedding style/theme?

We wanted to have an intimate, laid-back but elegant garden wedding. It just felt like us. The idea was born when we got engaged only two months after we decided to buy my grandparents house. We just instantly fell in love with the concept and saw a lot of potential in the garden.

How did you feel in your dress on the big day?

I loved my wedding dress. It was so easy to move in. For the ceremony I complimented it with a lace veil and changed into a neck scarf during the reception. Both looks went so well with the dress.

What was your favorite wedding moment?

There were many moments, but if I had to pick one it was the moment I saw my grandmother. She couldn't come to the ceremony (it took place at another location) and was waiting for us at the house. She hasn't been back there since she moved out, so seeing her there at this special occasion was a full circle moment. We both cried.

Do you have any sweet advice for future brides?

At the end of the day the only people who care about your wedding day 5 years from now are you. So do what YOU want and don't be bothered by other peoples opinion. You got this!
